Cassius M. Coolidge


CM-CoolidgeCassius M. Coolidge was bone in 1844 in upstate New York.

He was considered one of the finest comic artists of his day. He gained widespread acclaim for his portraits of mischievous dogs. Coolidge signed a contract with Brown & Bigelow in 1903 for sixteen calendar paintings. His “Poker Dogs” are comic masterpieces which continue to be enjoyed and displayed today. C. M. Coolidge died in the year 1934.
