ROXY

ROXY by Sharie Hatchett Bohlmann. To supplement her art sales income in the early 1960’s, Sharie was employed by Hugh Hefner at the legendary New York City Playboy Club, attending to VIPs under a required pseudonym “Bunny Kelly”. Sharie’s customers were literally the “Who’s Who” of the entertainment and sports world including her favorite Rat Pack “Chairman of the Board” Frank Sinatra. Frank and friends took an interest in Sharie’s aspriing art career and she created a special cityscape rendition of Times Square featuring the iconic “Roxy Theatre” with a marquee reading “Starring Frank Sinatra”. Frank admired the artwork and exclaimed “From now on you are ROXY!”. This is how ROXY, aka Sharie Hatchett Bohlmann, got her name.
