Kentaro-NishinoKentaro was born in the beautiful ancient city in Kanazawa Ishikawa prefecture Japan in 1980. His father is a mountaineer. He climbed a lot of mountains with his father and has seen a lot of beautiful landscapes and animals since childhood. The experiences have left their indelible mark on his vision and his life. Kentaro was 20 years old when he moved to Hawaii to study at the University of Hawaii. Hawaii is a place of stunning natural beauty. The clarity of light and the vividness of colors are endless inspiration for the artistic spirit and this is the origin of his artistic style. Kentaro graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a degree in Arts Illustration in 2003. Kentaro’s artwork has shown in many one-man and group exhibits in Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Melbourne and Sydney. He received the Semi-Grand Prix awards in 2004 from the 2nd Japan Art Academy Awards which is one of the most largest art competitions in Japan. Kentaro has been a member of the organization Artists for Conservation since 2006. Nature is the subject of Kentaro’s art. It is also the source of his inspiration, the source of his color, and the designer of his ideas. He expresses his images on a canvas, looking at the beauty and power of nature with his own eyes and imagination. He is a messenger between humans and nature. Kentaro paints things he wants people to notice. He speaks on his canvas with emphasis, to make a point, to communicate a thought. The story is unfinished. He wants the viewer to provide their own essence to complete Kentaro’s artworks.
